Specimen Collections
Friends Laboratory offers urine collections and Breath Alcohol Testing
on the first floor of
our laboratory building in Baltimore. In addition, on-site collections (those outside the
laboratory) are available for businesses by pre-arrangement with Friends Customer Service.
Collections for individuals outside the Baltimore-Washington Metro area can be arranged
using one of our laboratory's referral collection sites across the country.
Business and programs requiring supervised collections out-of-state may be
serviced by laboratory personnel through pre-arrangement. Please contact
us for assistance.
Hours of Onsite Lab Collections
8:00am - 5:30pm Monday thru Friday
From Downtown Baltimore
Take Lombard St. west to Monroe Street. Turn left and follow to Wilkens Ave. Turn right
and follow past St. Agness Hospital about 1/2 mile to Southwestern Blvd. Bear left onto
Southwestern Boulevard (US Rt. 1) and follow about 1 1/2 miles. The lab is on the right.
From Northern Maryland,
Pennsylvania, etc.
Take I-95 South to Exit 47A (BWI exit). Proceed onto I-195 to first exit (Exit 3
Elkridge). At traffic signal turn left and remain in the right lane. Just past the
Diageo Plant, bear right onto US Rt. 1 North (Southwestern Boulevard). The
lab is on your left across from the MARC train parking lot.
From Virginia, Southern Maryland and points South
Take I-95 North to Exit 47A (BWI exit). Proceed onto I-195 to first exit (Exit 3
Elkridge). At traffic signal turn left and remain in the right lane. Just past the
Diageo Plant, bear right onto US Rt. 1 North (Southwestern Boulevard). The
lab is on your left across from the MARC train parking lot.
From Northern Baltimore Area (via outer loop of
Baltimore Beltway I-695)
Take I-695 to Exit 12A (Southwestern Blvd). As you enter Southwestern Boulevard you will
see a blinking signal ahead at the Arbutus Volunteer Fire Department. Proceed about 1 mile
further to the lab on the right hand side (across from Moulding and Millwork Lumber Yard).
From Southern Baltimore Area (via inner loop of
Baltimore Beltway I-695)
Take I-695 to Exit 10 (Alternate US Rt. 1). Turn left and go south to 2nd traffic signal
(Ridge Avenue). Bear right onto Ridge Ave. and follow across bridge. Turn right
immediately onto Oregon Avenue. Turn right onto Tom Day Boulevard then right again onto
Southwestern Boulevard. The laboratory is on the right.
